I never thought it would happen to me. Never in my 21 years did I think it would happen, but it did.
One of my family members found one of my online accounts and added me.
I know a few people whose parents added them on facebook, xanga, or anything related, but I never thought it would happen to me. I always thought I would never catch this virus and others would instead. Instead I was side swept and hit out of no where.
Why did this have to happen to me? Why did I have to wake up in the morning to an email notifying me that my dad just added me on Twitter.
Why me God why?!
We must stop family members adding us on our virtual accounts or this disease will keep growing.

Later Days...

Lets hope he doesn't find your Xanga... :P
Hahah that sucks :(
My dad tried adding me on facebook but then I blocked him. He keeps on bugging me about friending him and I had to make up some lame ass excuse about how we weren't in the same network or something
Hm. Thankfully my parents do not have any online accounts. Except email & thats only my dad! LOL But I do have aunts, uncles & cousins that have facebook & they are on mine. Some I put until "limited profile" - don't need them running to my parents telling them what I've been up too! LOL Half the time I dont' post any evidence...haha! But my xanga is my own. In my family my sister Kim (msButterfli) has a xanga account. Our other sister had one too, but got rid of it. So. Its only us. We have never told our parents or our other sister (4 girls) - its a secret! SHHH!
I love having the Xanga! I can write whatever!
Its my own!
My facebook is completely infested. I gave up the fight a while ago.
I find that most of my caucasian friends' have their family members (sometimes including their grandma) on FB and other social networks, whereas all my asian ones are like "NOOO KEEP AWAY".
You shouldn't have to worry unless it's your parents. Or if you have sexy photos of you lingering around the interweb. Hahahaha.
i only have my sister and cousin as facebook friends. my parents know that we have a facebook, but i don't think they have one.
although recently i've seen that my dad has a how to-facebook guide. i'm a bit worried.
@JL789 - if he does he will just read about me writing random things
@noree_n - i just wouldnt accept it haha
@karoline1982 - xanga is great but it is like a public diary for the world =P
@vanedave - haha i am still fighting
@tambo001 - yeah but i was eventually going to be found. my dad is tech savvy.
@its_me_katie - i have crotch shots all over the net
@lovesporks - i would be scared
@sonychak - It is! But its nice knowing that my family doesn't even know what "xanga" is and I will never tell them! LOL
I know right >.> I've made tons of new accounts and people keep finding me
AIEELOL. Twitter? or Facebook?
Cousins, ok. Aunts and uncles that might be only a little older than you (like if your mom or dad is the oldest and has a really younger sibling), ok. But when my parents' cousins, and my friends' parents added me on Facebook, I got a little creeped out!
My mom flipped out when she found out I had a xanga (she's very private and doesn't understand blogging), but I think she's forgotten. I don't plan on reminding her.
wow that could get awkward haaha
And that is exactly why I refuse to get a Facebook or Twitter account, and my Xanga is not searchable on search engines. Two of my three siblings know about my Xanga account and can view it, but I don't care if they see it. Hell, I wouldn't care if my grandma saw it.
It's more my future in-laws that I don't want looking at my virtual accounts because they're extremely judgmental and ignorant.
My mom added me on Facebook a while back and she knows about my Xanga, but I don't think she ever goes to it...Aside from making me reconsider a possibly vulgar status or two, there's really not much different. My mom and I are pretty open so I don't have anything to hide.
haha - my mom and my exhusband recently asked me to be their friends on myspace. how weird is that/?????
@Dylan_Disast3r - change your profile name
@xClassified - twitter. if my dad ever makes fb i will tell him he is too old.
@jdrop - my mom googled my name and almost clicked on my xanga once.
@Beckbites - very awkward turtle
@methodElevated - i dont want future companies to read my stuff
@i_r_keiko - i just find it awkward. i am open with them, but still.
@reed44 - refuse!
LOL. What would he say? XD
@xClassified - he would probably agree haha
Thankfully, my parents get too confused on sites like xanga, twitter, myspace etc.
AHAHAH. (=
@lovesporks - I didn't know such a thing existed!
well, i wouldn't mind my family adding me, but if they become a regular reader of my blog (suddenly becomes family friendly)
HAHA. If anyone I knew found my Xanga, I'd be D.E.A.D.
Facebook - well, my parents know I would never add them. So yeah.
Plus, I have settings on every online account so that I don't show up if you search my name/e-mail/username/etc.
Lmbo I always find it exciting to see a family member adding me somewhere! lol but since my parents are internet challenged i guess i don't face the posing 'illness' you do. ah bummer sorry =/
